From the Gentleman's Magazine, for March. . . [7 lines of a
letter to the magazine explaining the occasion of the poem
from a journeyman to his master whose conviction it is never
to advance money to his workmen, the explanation concluding]
But the muse sung not in vain, his wants were supplied; and
this is the genuine paper, in his own hand writing, as I had
it from his master. [signed] R.B.
LEWIS'S WANTS.
  An ordinary bed---so the tackle's but clean,
  The price, I believe, may be shillings eighteen.  18
  A bedstead, I care not how clumsey 'tis made,
  So the fleas and the bugs are but of it afraid.  12
